Cydney Mcgee

Cydney began dancing at the age of two in her hometown in Southern Mississippi. She did not fully indulge in her training until she was 14, when she committed her time and effort to developing technique and artistry in the professional dance world. To enhance her training, she assisted Stephen “Twitch” Boss (So You Think You Can Dance Season 4), Victor Smalley (Dance Moms Miami), and Ellenore Scott (So You Think You Can Dance Season 6). At 18, she moved to Los Angeles to participate in, and later graduate, the Edge Performing Arts Center Scholarship Program. Being an alumni of the program, Cydney has been dancing professionally for 1 year. In that short year she has danced on the Ellen Degeneres Show, the ABC Family series “Bunheads” with Marguerite Derricks, in a promotional video for Hawaiian Tropics Skincare, on stage with recording artist SHE, and in music videos with for M83, Harriet, and Larissa Lam. Cydney has also worked closely with Paula Abdul and Eddie Garcia. She has performed in theatre and industrial productions for Jason Myhre and Jesse Lee Santos.

Since winning her first choreography recognition at 15, Cydney has been teaching and choreographing for 5 years in several cities around the country. Her choreography has won multiple awards including Critics Choice, Staging Excellence, and Creative Direction at national dance conventions such as NYCDA, Adrenaline, Dance Makers, and NUVO. On a new endeavor, she recently choreographed for recording artist Beatriz for the Venice Music Festival and upcoming events. Teaching is an ultimate passion for Cydney and she can’t wait to share that passion with you!
